What most do not realize is that we are suppose to hear from God, so many believe that we can talk to Him but God can not talk to us and that is a lie.
Satan is afraid of one thing more than anything else and that is we will learn we can hear from God.
Genesis 2
17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
From Genesis to Revelation one theme remains true and that is hearing from God.
Adam was told not to eat of the tree, all Adam had to do was listen and obey God .
Adam did not obey!
Genesis 3
8. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
9. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
Satan only tricked Eve in what she was told, and from that Adam sinned and when God called they heard His voice even after they had sinned, hearing did not end with the original sin.
Genesis 22
18. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Abraham was blessed because he listen and obeyed the voice of God.
Deuteronomy 28
2. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
God told us that if we listen and obey we would be blessed.
John 14
26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Jesus even told us we were to be taught all things by the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and not by mankind.
Revelation 3
19. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
We know based on John 3:16 we are all loved by Him so the above verse is directed at all of us. Remember Jesus stated in Rev 2:1 to the above verse about how out of seven churches only one was of Him and the rest were not. Then Jesus states that those He loves (all of us) He will rebuke which means He will convict us of the error of our ways, then He will chasten to teach us and we will be zealous (change our feelings towards him) and repent (change our ways from the world to Him).
Revelation 3
20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
All who Jesus reaches and that change their ways and listen to and for His voice will hear Him and open the door to and for Him to enter.
Revelation 3
21. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
What you will learn in "Hearing From God" the proof from Scripture that you can hear and should hear from God and if you truly want to be blessed you will listen and obey. You will learn the lies of the world and Satan and how to avoid them and the keys to being a true Christian based in the words of Jesus not man.
Awaken Software helps with getting the junk out of the world and replace it with the truth of God, do not believe me below are some of the testimonies of a few others who have read "Hearing From God":
I was searching and trying for about 9 years after I became Born again to hear the voice of God. Then one day like many other days that I tried I searched the internet for "hearing the voice of God" using hotbot.com and I found www.churches.com. That is when I started reading the Bible studies about hearing God’s voice. I tried what Jerry Wilhite said about spending 30 minutes a day trying to listen to God’s voice. It was very tough because I would fall asleep and then I would feel bad. I kept trying and Jerry Wilhite kept encouraging me that I could hear his voice I just had to keep trying. It took between 6 months to a year and then I could finally hear God’s voice. He spoke to me for about 2 hours. Since that time it has been pretty easy for me to hear God’s voice because I recognize it now. And every time I hear him speak to me I always test the voice by asking did Jesus Christ come in the Flesh". When I hear a yes I know it is God. It is not that God doesn’t speak to us but we never take time to listen to him. I am very thankful that I found churches.com and for the information on how to listen to God’s voice. I always knew that we could hear his voice but I didn’t know how. It is wonderful to truly have a close personal relationship with God not only praying to him but also hearing from him. I would like to encourage all who are seeking to hear God to spend the time daily trying to listen to God.

I used to be one of those people who thought that if you hear voices, then you are crazy. I believed then (and still do) that you get affirmations and reassurances about things taken to the Lord in prayer, but not hearing voices. I even had my doubts about Jerry when he first told me that he did. I probably gave him such a look that should have made him give up on me altogether. That was a long time ago…early 90’s. Jerry did not give up on me and neither did the Lord.
I thought about it, prayed about it, and subsequently longed for the ability to hear God’s voice. I know He said, "Blessed are they that have not seen" (John 20:29) but he does not include HEARING. That is because we are SUPPOSED to hear Him. We are even instructed on how to be sure that we are not listening to the wrong Spirit (1 John 4 1-3).
The first time I heard Him call me, "My child" was such a blessing. I got really emotional and will never forget it. Just recalling it as I write this makes me feel so loved it is hard to describe. Though I can not say I hear from Him on a constant basis, He has spoken to me on many occasions when I was actively seeking Him. He has always said things that are in complete alignment with His written word, but imparted in such a way that I get a deeper, more complete understanding.
I would like to take a moment to impress upon whoever reads this how VERY important it is to verify it is actually God that you are hearing because the Devil will imitate the voice of God. If you do not hear, "Yes, Jesus Christ came in the flesh" when you ask, if you do not get any reply at all, or if the reply uses disarming wording, then tell the source of the voice to go to hell because it is NOT God. Satan and his minions will try to trick you if ever your guard is down. The evil one has tried all these tactics on me. God will never try to confuse you by saying things that you can not understand immediately. He is straightforward and honest.
May God bless you as you seek His voice and grow closer to Him.

I wasted the first 60 years of my life as an atheist/agnostic. I ridiculed Christians, the Church, the Bible and anything associated with God.
Without going into all the details, one day I prayed to God that if He were real, to send me a certain sign and I would go to church that Sunday and praise His Holy Name, and immediate before my very eyes the sign that I requested appeared!
My first thought was that if I had only waited another minute before making that promise to God, the sign would have appeared anyway and I could have skipped church.
But a bargain is a bargain and over the next several months I attended church faithfully and we talked and He promised to show me great and wonderful things. Which He did. He did everything He promised.
(To the non-believers, it must seem like I've gone over the edge, who is he that can hear the voice of God?)
He TOLD me the Bible to start with, the NKJV, He lead me to the churches.com web site and told me to do the Bible studies, and He led me to other on-line sites so that I could compare the studies.
He promised the Spirit of Truth would never fail me.
By far, churches.com is the best site on the internet and it is Blessed by God Himself.
I now attend church for every function, service, or whatever. I tithe, donate, do most of the maintenance work,
sing in the choir and provide transportation to the needy.
What I'm trying to get across is not about me, but rather learning to hear from God and studying the Bible at churches.com. It has made me a much better person and it can do the same for you.
If you will only take the time to listen to HIS voice.
blessings,
Dennis Johnson
